In a section of the cable headed "Other acts of Political Violence": Several Irish citizens damaged US military assests at the airport in 2003. One was convicted and given a suspended sentence. In late 2005 a group of politicians said they would not oppose further attacks. In 2006, five others activists were acquitted by a jury. Lawful excuse argument used.
