Peace Camp at Shannon - July 4th/5th

Friends of Shannonwatch and regular protesters at the airport are organising a Peace Camp at the airport on the weekend of July 4th and 5th. Here's are the details - come along if you can!
SHANNON AIRPORT 36-HOUR PEACE CAMP & VIGIL - SHANNON AIRPORT PEACE ROUNDABOUT
SATURDAY 4 JULY 6am until SUNDAY 5 JULY 6pm
We’ll be camping beside the Shannon Airport Peace Roundabout to mark the 2nd anniversary of the now weekly Shannon Sunday Vigil
BRING
• a tent and warm sleeping bag (and pot to pee in)
• clothes to suit cool, warm, wet, very cold and very hot weather
• cup, plate and cutlery, camping chair and/or picnic blanket
• memories of peace camps, events and actions at Shannon Airport and any pics you may have of any peace events at Shannon Airport
• bits of food and water – don’t worry if you don’t have stuff, there will be bits and pieces for sharing
• banners, placards and posters – we want to fill the Peace Roundabout with messages of peace and let workers and travelers’ see our messages of peace

Over the weekend, we’ll be reading the names of children murdered in wars. This will include children of Palestine, Lebanon and Iran. We will hold all children murdered by war in our hearts.
On Saturday 4 July we will hold our activism at Shannon Hedge School
On Sunday 5 July at 11.30am we will walk for peace with Siúlóid Síochána
On Sunday 5 July at 3.00pm we will be led in song by Éisteacht
